PTS-300 Thermal Wire Stripper 如得is a low power line operated tool, whic電票h far surpasses all previous devices i和窗n safety, versatility, speed, and 姐相economy. The patented design incorpora區路tes a uniquely shaped Nichrome heatin兒樹g element, which heats up quic美到kly up to 1,700 deg. F and it 但報will efficiently strip medium to High-姐司Temperature insulation from soli商拍d, stranded, or shielded wires i請著n the range of #16- 30 AWG.
The extremely thin heating element pr懂畫oduces negligible amount of fumes&n白黃bsp; and therefore the use of 謝道these strippers does not require spec河月ial ventilation. The fumes produced be要訊 thick element designed tools&訊技nbsp; should be exhausted.
The low mass, guarded element de窗作sign minimizes the risk of burns, e大站liminates nicks and broken stran音冷ds of conductors and reduces lead呢習 pull on sensitive components.
The element design features two森畫 sections. Ringing section (a heated做她 section where the insulation is 書拿thermally separated) and pulling sect業小ion where the thermally separate費房d insulation slug is wedged bet醫睡ween two parallel edges of the s了鐵tripping element for an easy removal. 林話Adjustable gage selector will blo服拍ck the entrance of the wedged conduct裡朋or to the next and smaller opening thu人呢s preventing any scraping of the co吃錢nductor. Although this section of 能長the element also carries the current w水哥hich heats the separating section, it現弟 is not annealed (due to its grea見微ter widths and much lower resista草拍nce) and therefore it retains 笑舊its hard temper. In addition, these edg是都es are supported by .025″ thic樹相k, hard temper element support. This w樂購ill allow pulling a slug as lo低黑ng as 12″ without damaging the elemen很低t or conductor. Please note that 很匠wires # 24-30 AWG are stripped d錢為irectly at the heated end of the s著樹tripping element. The friction of smal著議l gauge wires against the insul身科ation is low so there is no danger to d分現amage the element while pulling off th裡樂e slug.
The stripping element is only .010醫東″ thick (.008″ PTS-10) and the和子refore the thermally cut groove widt書業h is much narrower than the two ele城上ment models offered by other manufactur物歌ers. This low mass thermal stripping 光身technology means less power, faste跳秒r heating time, shorter cooling通站 time, less fumes and higher quality鄉煙 strip. The longevity of the e章秒lement is also greatly extended becaus煙鐵e the annealed portion of the element 體美is used mainly for ringing (separ錢門ating) the insulation rather than 視暗pulling off the slug.
Of course, there are no nicks beca笑服use of the rounded edges of the s少鄉tripping element. The heated s女年ection of the element is also p體章rotected by an element guard, th動歌us reducing the risk of burns. Th美電e segmented design of the studs help外開s dissipate heat thus reducing the ri工又sk of burns even in prolonged u吃為se. The weight of the PTS-3 strip樹東ping head is less than 5 oz. (0.150 kg.車們).
