The extremely thin heating element劇黑 produces negligible amount of f暗師umes and therefore the use of thes麗人e strippers does not require special v廠高entilation. The fumes produced by thi樹個ck element designed tools should山有 be exhausted.

The element design features two secti子亮ons. Ringing section (a heated拍司 section where the insulation is therm議藍ally separated) and pulling section w從影here the thermally separated insulati子日on slug is wedged between two p靜老arallel edges of the stripping element 好就for an easy removal. Adjustable算樂 gauge selector will block the entrance學河 of the wedged conductor to the站章 next and smaller opening thus preventi還讀ng any scraping of the conductor. 黃拍Although this section of the element a老通lso carries the current which heats the影舞 grooving section, it is not annealed 公南(due to its greater widths and there物公fore much lower resistance) and i訊也t retains its hard temper. In additi朋市on, these edges are also supported b輛畫y .025″ thick, hard temper element supp站通ort. This will allow pulling a slug海著 as long as 12″ without damaging th費學e element. Please note that cond文司uctors # 24-30 AWG are stripped directl跳知y at the heated end of the stripp子劇ing element. The inner surface ar術慢ea of these wires against the i微城nsulation is very small so there is no 國錯danger to damage the element while pull通他ing off the slug. The stripping el公也ement is only .010″ thick (.008″ PTS-答們10) and therefore the thermall視師y cut groove width is much narr討兵ower than the two element models 區北offered by other manufacturers. Th人電is low mass thermal stripping 上請technology means less power, faster h討下eating time, shorter cooling ti低分me fewer fumes and higher quality科爸 strip. The longevity of the el快美ement is also greatly extended because哥腦 the annealed portion of the el現身ement is used mainly for ringing (s算見eparating) the insulation rather鄉制 than pulling off the slug.

The flicker accessory is provid靜雨ed to flick off the sometimes wedged 舊北in insulation slug for continu做我ous and uninterrupted stripping.
