PTS-300 Thermal Wire Stripper 視錯is a low power line operated tool,男暗 which far surpasses all previous 線從devices in safety, versatility,跳討 speed, and economy. The patented desi唱購gn incorporates a uniquely shaped Nic森金hrome heating element, which heats up服吃 quickly up to 1,700 deg. F and it will個綠 efficiently strip medium to H能器igh-Temperature insulation from soli日問d, stranded, or shielded wires in 藍樂the range of #16- 30 AWG.
The extremely thin heating elemen金這t produces negligible amount of fumes唱嗎 and therefore the use of th木區ese strippers does not require spe對身cial ventilation. The fumes produ懂章ced be thick element designed tools&n地但bsp; should be exhausted.
The low mass, guarded element de但員sign minimizes the risk of burns, e師你liminates nicks and broken str輛黑ands of conductors and reduces lead pu見見ll on sensitive components.
The element design features two secti務麗ons. Ringing section (a heated 近家section where the insulation is therm些森ally separated) and pulling sectio裡司n where the thermally separated insul金友ation slug is wedged between two pa來話rallel edges of the stripping ele嗎師ment for an easy removal. Adjusta技鐵ble gage selector will block t火為he entrance of the wedged conductor to 報件the next and smaller opening thus pr海高eventing any scraping of the co見音nductor. Although this section o場照f the element also carries the c小志urrent which heats the separating sect能們ion, it is not annealed (due to 姐飛its greater widths and much lower resis報醫tance) and therefore it retains討議 its hard temper. In addition, th師輛ese edges are supported by .025″中場 thick, hard temper element suppor工鄉t. This will allow pulling a slug as 和放long as 12″ without damaging the el理報ement or conductor. Please note that wi跳姐res # 24-30 AWG are stripped directl訊術y at the heated end of the stripp木鄉ing element. The friction of small ga對制uge wires against the insulation i自做s low so there is no danger to dama樂女ge the element while pulling off the飛她 slug.
The stripping element is only 錯友.010″ thick (.008″ PTS-10) and theref去多ore the thermally cut groove wi黑會dth is much narrower than the two ele月對ment models offered by other manufactur計腦ers. This low mass thermal strippi一哥ng technology means less power, faster 電是heating time, shorter cooling time,小答 less fumes and higher quality strip. T關鄉he longevity of the element is a厭師lso greatly extended because the annea海家led portion of the element is used通和 mainly for ringing (separating) th生村e insulation rather than pulling o商呢ff the slug.
Of course, there are no nicks b廠快ecause of the rounded edges of司著 the stripping element. The hea司低ted section of the element is also pro器現tected by an element guard, thus re化校ducing the risk of burns. The segmente金開d design of the studs helps dissipate h冷數eat thus reducing the risk of burns ev數訊en in prolonged use. The weight of 日和the PTS-3 stripping head is less than 5關弟 oz. (0.150 kg.). There are also ot內弟her unprecedented design features 員草such as gauge selector, flicker a計道ccessory etc. not available on 資著any other currently available tools.
